Fylakti

Fylakti is another picturesque village in Karditsa. It is situated at the end of the provincial road, 32 km from the town of Karditsa. The settlement lies on the slopes of Voutsinaki mountain, in a 1200 m height. Administratively, Fylakti belongs to the municipality of Nevrpoli. The view from the village is breathtaking, as it is viewing to a magnificent fir forest. Fylakti has a characteristic square, with a glade, the “Paleopurgos” and the shops around the pine trees.
The Monastery of Trinity is a site everyone ought to visit. Today, is saved only the central part of it, as and a three-alcove church with a narthex in its west side. Only in the Chancel Table are saved some murals from the 17th century. The impressive wooden chancel dates back to 1852.
