Kalivia pezoulas
|
As you leave the picturesque village of Krioneri, the road leads to two settlements with the same name: Kalivia. Administratively they belong to two separate communities, those of Filakti and Pezoula, from which they have borrowed the second synthetic of the word.
Before the creation of Plastira lake, residents worked in the fields of Nevropolis, but lived here. Their houses were simple, one-space, constructions made of shin-bones and mud. There, they stored agricultural products and their tools.
The second settlement, Kalivia Pezoulas is situated right after Megalo Potami village.
It is a rapidly developing settlement with many rural houses.
In the center of the settlement, the peripheral road crosses eastwards with the one leading to the lake and westwards to Pezoula, Fylakti and Neraida.
In Kalivia Pezoulas you will find many traditional taverns serving local meats and homemade recipes.
