NAXO'S CASTLE AND THE TOWER OF GLEZOS
It is located on a hill and it's the acropolis of Chora (town). It is considered the most impressive monument of the island built in the best spot.
The wall around it is square and closes with three gates. Near the northwest gate of the castle is Glezo's tower built in 1207 by the enetic archon Marcus Sanoudos. It has four levels and it's the only tower of the island with a round tower attached.
Nowadays the tower-after Glezo's family donation- belongs to the archaeological department. When the construction is finished, it will host the island's Byzantine museum.
BELONIA'S TOWER
On the road to village Galanado, 6km from Chora is Belonia's tower. It was the residence of the region's archon. In the one side of it is built-in the family's blazon. Today although it is neglected, still impresses with its baronial feature and panoramic view to Chora. Next to the tower is the twin church of Saint John, used by the orthodox and catholics as well (that'swhere it took its name from).

CHIMARRO'S TOWER
It is located in the southeast part of the island, on the road to village Philoti. It is a four-storey round imposing fort.
It is believed that it was built during Hellenistic times. It is made of marble and has a height of 15m. It is in a good condition. You can find it in a deserted region, between Za, Naxo's highest mountain, and the sea.

PLAKA'S PALEOPYRGOS
It is located between village Tripodes and the beach of Plaka. The exact date of its construction stays unknown, thus most people believe it was built during Hellenistic times. The legend says that a fortune teller-princess lived in this tower.

APANO CASTLE
It is located west of Tragea on the top of the mountain above central Naxos. There are a lot of remarkable monuments from different periods of time in its interior. There are also findings of Archaic and enetic times. You can find a lot of paths leading from the castle to villages Potamia and Tsilikario.

GRACIA'S TOWER
Gracia's tower is located in village Chalki. It is in good condition. It is a fort with tall walls, iron-clad windows and a moving bridge. The blazons of the region's athelings are saved.

BAROTSI'S TOWER
Another tower of Venice style with a beautiful, made of marble, fountain. This tower was the residence of an Enetic archon, whose blazon is still above the tower's entrance.

AGIA'S TOWER AND MONASTERY
Agia's monastery is in the north part of Naxos, built in a 220m height. On the hill above the monastery is located the tower of Agia built in the 17th century. You can see it from the coastal road that connects Chora with Apollona.
