Kapsali
|
Kapsali is another beautiful coastal village in the south part of Kythira. It is the best spot of the region and one of the most developed in tourism regions. It is, with no doubt, the trademark of Kythira.
It is situated in one of the most enchanting and idyllic locations of the island. The settlement is built around the natural protected port under the Venetian castle. If you look Kapsali from up high, it looks like a lake. Here you will find hotels, taverns, bars and many shops.
Swim in the homonym beach. Here options vary. You can either relax and enjoy the sun and the clean sea. Or you can practice on water sports, combining pleasure with exercise.
Don’t miss visiting the monastery of Saint John in Gremos location, where according to tradition Saint John started writing Apocalypses before going to Patmos. The monastery took its current feature in 1952. The port is ideal for private boats and yachts.
