 Mylopotamos

Mylopotamos is a traditional village, 15km from Chora. It is built in one of the most beautiful locations in the island. Here you will see the most important natural sites in Kythira. The waterfall of murderess and the cave of Agia Sofia with rich stalactite interior, are two of the island’s ornaments.
Drink your coffee in the square under the shadow of planes and admire the traditional architecture.
At the end of the village, in Kato Chora, you will see the Venetian castle with the lion of Saint Marcus in its gate. The abandoned Venetian settlement creates contradicted feelings.
In a verdurous location you will see the Monastery of Panagia Orphaned. While other interesting religious monuments are the churches of Saint Theodori, Saint Anastasia and Saint Minas.
