 Archangelos

Archangelos is the biggest village in Rhodes and the head of the homonym municipal. It is located in the south part of the island, 28km from the town. It was bult during the Medieval times far from the shore in order to protect residents from pirate invasions.
Its residents stay faithful to traditions. Even today that the region is developed tourist and is one of the most important tourist resorts of Rhodes, residents keep the folkways alive without being affected by the modern way of life. While touring in Archangelos you will have the opportunity to admire the traditional architecture of the island, to visit the venetian castle, the church of Archangel Michael and of course have fun.
