 Soroni

Soroni is one of the most important villages in the north end of Kamiros’ municipal. It is a village developing more and more each year in tourism and from an agricultural region (famous for its olive oil production) has evolved to a tourist resort.
The natural sightseeings of the region (verdurous forests, beautiful beaches) and the important historic monuments (ancient Kamiros, historic monasteries) add to this.
The extended beach of Soroni attracts thousands of visitors every year.
In close distance we meet the monastery of Saint Soula, known for the festival organized every July, including sport races, horse-races and a traditional feast.
