ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
The archaeological museum of Tinos was built in the beginnings of the 1960-decade. It hosts findings dated from the hellenistic times to roman age. Among its exhibits distinguish: the big anaglyph amphora found in the sacred of Dimitra in Xombourgo from the 7th century and a marble sun clock, from Kionia. It is a complex construction showing the solar time, the equinoxes and the solstices. It is dated from the end of the 2nd BC.
In the museum you will see sepulchral steles, coins, sculptures and ceramics.
