The ski center of Bernos or Vitsi, as it is else known, is situated at the south slopes of mountain Vitsi in a 1.875m height. It is 23km from Kastoria on the way to Florina and north of Polikerasos village. The road to the ski center passes through picturesque settlements and green fields.
The mountainous complex of Vitsi is something you ought to see. Human activity has not yet reached the region, which still keeps the unique beauty of wild nature. Dense beech forests and rare species of the fauna and flora have found their shelter in Vitsi, creating unique pictures. It is worth mentioning that Vitsi is identified as a shelter for the preys and the, under extinction, bear.

The ski center of Vitsi is one of the smallest in Greece. Notwithstanding, it is very famous amongst the lovers of ski as it has magnificent view to the lakes of Vergoritida, Petres, Kastoria, Mikri and Megali Prespa.
Vitsi has 3 trailing lifts and 5 ski runs. Beginners and experienced skiers have the same starting point, while there is a snowboard run.
The ski center also has a café, bar and a restaurant. Even if you are not skilled for skiing, it is worth visiting it and enjoy your meal or coffee viewing at the magnificent snowy landscape.
