Outside the settlement the scenery is ideal for evening walks. The routes lead you to countryside with many small churches, paths and banks, terraces that hold the cultivating soil and reach the sea.
The most important church of the island is that of Panagia that distinguishes for its special architecture. You can reach it from “strataki”, the small path from Pounta’s square. It is built in the place of the ancient church. Inside the church is saved the byzantine thaumaturgy icon of Panagia, made of silver connected with pirate stories and legends of Folegandros.
