 Mesochori

Mesochori is one of the most graphic villages in Karpathos. It is located 31km northwest of the capital, built on a hill. It has a glorious view, while the whole village is a live site. With its traditional beauty and authentic island identity, impresses every visitor. Walk in the village’s roads and admire the architecture of residences and public buildings. The narrow paths lead to stone wide stairs in the village’s old neighborhoods.
Best spot in the region is the coastal village Lefkos. It is the main summer settlement in Mesochori, which has started to evolve into a tourist resort. Thanks to its beautiful beach, attracts thousands of visitors every year. Here you will find hotels and rooms to let.
Right across it you will see the small island of Sokastros, with many antiquities. There have made no excavations in the region.
4km from Mesochori is located one of the oldest villages in the island, Spoa. It keeps its traditional identity and enchants visitors.
