Aperi

Aperi is a beautiful hilly village that distinguishes for its baronial glow. It used to be the island’s capital from 1700 to 1892. Today it is the head of Karpathos and Kasos eparch.
It is located 8km northwest of Karpathos town.
It is worth making a stroll in Aperi and admire its beauties.
Walk in the paths and admire the imposing mansions, the churches and the endless green landscapes around the village.
Following the village paths and you will reach the beautiful beaches of Ahata and Kira Panagia. It is one of the most famous in the island and all around the world. Swim in their crystal waters and relax enjoying sun and nature.
In the small village Volada you will see the remains of three castles built in different periods of time.
