 Zefiria

Zefiria was the first -medieval- capital of the island. It is located in the southeast part of the island, 3,5km from Adamantas. During the 18th century the village was destroyed by an earthquake and was evacuated. Today this small village has about 150 residents. It is worth visiting and walk in its graphic paths. Don't forget to visit the church of Panagia Portiani or Portaitissa. The church was built in the 17th century and was the metropolis of Milos. It is the oldest church in Zefiria.
