Near the entrance of Platis Gialos’ cove is the small uninhabited island Kitriani or Kipriani.
The island is of big interest due to Panagias Kipriani’s church located there. It was built in the 11th century and it’s the most ancient ecclesiastic monument in Sifnos. Its chancel screen is dated from 1732.
