A coastal settlement with big tourist development. It is 3km from Platanos, the island’s capital and it is built in the depth of Alindas’ cove, in a verdurous location. Due to its dense construction, the settlement tends to adjust to Krithoni village. Alinda distinguishes for its tourist infrastructures.
Here you will find the latest and most luxurious hotel units as and complexes of rooms to let. In the taverns and restaurants you will taste traditional recipes of the Dodecanese cuisine, while in the evening you can entertain in the bars and clubs with live music.
The region is famous for its beautiful beach, of great resort in the island. Enjoy the sun and the sea, or you can show your skills in water sports. You can swim in the cove of Gourna and in the beaches of Drimonas and Kokkalis. Right across them is a rocky island with the church of Saint Isidoros.
Close to Alinda is Krifos. A small beach hidden between high rocks. From its depth gushes a source with cold water. Right above the beach of Krifos is Klidi, the highest spot in the island with a height of 320m.
Don’t miss visiting the Folkloric museum roofed under the Tower of Belenis. It is a fine, baronial structure that hosts an interesting folkloric collection. In its yard are organized cultural events.
In the Municipal Hostel’s yard was found the paleochristianic church of Panagia Galatiani, with beautiful mosaics.
