Kalamaki

Kalamaki, also known as Propan, is a mountainous village in eastern Pelion. Although it is not among the most popular destinations of Pelion, it is well worth a visit, as exploring the village reveals many pleasant surprises.
At the entrance of the village, you will notice the quarries that produce the famous Pelion stone. As you continue, the traditional atmosphere and the gentle serenity of the village will captivate you. The old mansions and stone houses of traditional architecture transport visitors to a bygone era. The central square, with its enormous plane tree and traditional cafés, is perfect for rest and relaxation. You will also have the chance to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea.
Just 2 km from the village lies the Kalamaki beach, with its crystal-clear waters, ideal for a refreshing swim.
