The Museum of Paxoi was established in 1996 by island’s Cultural Association. It is roofed under a traditional building of 1906. The exhibits reveal the island’s history, as it hosts findings from the prehistoric time and the classic ages, until Balcanian wars and the Epic of 1940.
One of the most important exhibits is the Resolution of Ionian Parliament for the adjustment of Ionian Islands to the Greek State in 1864.
The book of the Australian Archduke Ludovike Salvator, describing with every detail Paxous, when he visited in 1884 – 1885. Really impressive is the revival of a traditional room, with items of old times.
