If you try to climb to ascent the mountains of the southwest Pindos, you should not pass along Elati.
At an altitude of 950 m. in the area of Koziakas, the dorp of Elati spreads like a balconi. Because of its privileged posistion among firs and waters, Elati was beloved and conquered by greek and foreign people.
Elati is an organised village with a notable tourist infrastructure and it is an example not only for the municipality of Ethikon where it belongs, but for entire the prefecture of Trikala since it is the most popular destination of tourists.
Arhontiko Tsimponi is a very nice building made of stone and wood (recenty renovated) which adorns the centre of Elati. It consists of a luxurious suite, 10 rooms with 2,3 or 4 beds with fireplace, independant heating, TV, mini bar, phone, safe, hair dryer, hydromassage, internet acces and obviously a balcony with view of the village and the mountain.

Activities: Our district offers a huge variety of activities according to the year season.
During the winter and into the white environment, you may ski at the Pertouli ski centre, which is only 7 km far from Elati, or horse ride and drive a snowmobile.
In the summer you may also climb in the forest or walk across the E4 path which passes through the Koziakas mountain.
The Pertouli meadows offer facilities for horse riding, archery, cycling as well as special courses for 4x4 jeeps.
You may also try Kayak and rafting in the Aspropotamos area.
There are plenty of sighseeings around our district such as villages, churches, monasteries, the city of Trikala, Meteora, the Plastira lake, the monastery of Porta Panagia (17th century), the Pili stone bridge (15th century) as well as the Agia Paraskevi monastery (16th century).
How to Arrive: By car from Athens, the distance is about 360 Km and the shortest way is the one through the towns Domokos - Karditsa - Trikala. A few Km before reaching Trikala you will meet a sign towards left to Pili - Elati.
From Thessaloniki, by car again, the distance is only 220 Km.
