 Alikanas

It is one of the most crowded tourist resorts of the island. The coastal settlement of Alikanas is located 18km from the town. The region is inhabited since archaic times. According to the findings, dated to the mycenaec age, in this place was ancient Arcadia.
The beach of Alikanas is one of the most famous in Zakynthos. Thanks to its extended golden beach and good organization, it has gained international fame. During the last years Alikanas has evolved to a cosmopolitan tourist resort, providing all kinds of entertainment.
