The National Ski Center of Seli is the second in size in Greece and one of the best-organized. It is situated at the southwest part of Vermio in a 1500 – 1900 m height.
Seli is a very cosmopolitan ski center and attracts thousands of visitors from all over Greece. It is 95 km far from Thessaloniki, 24 km from Veria, 20 km from Naoussa and 74 km form Kozani.

Seli was the first organized ski center in the country. It operates since 1934, when the first National Ski Races were organized. The first lift of 750 m length and 1600 m height was put out in 1955, while in 1968 it was extended by 500 m in a 1730 m height. It is justly considered the first sports’ and tourist skiing cell. From 1972 it is characterized national and administratively belongs to the General Sports Secretariat.
Today, the National Ski Center of Seli has all the qualifications to constitute a model ski center.
The center is consisted of two regions. The one is from the foothill to the chalet with the café-bar, while the other goes up to the highest point of Arsoubasi plateau.
There are 15 ski runs in Seli and 9 lifts (5 trailing, 1 cable and 3 baby lift). The most impressive are the 3 strength runs of 5 km length and the special snowboard run.

Seli has modern lifts for safe and fast service, a wide variety of runs for tourist and sports skiing, playgrounds and runs especially designed for races. The national hiking path E4 passes through Seli mountain. The hiking and ambulatory routes are magnificent offering a unique experience to the visitors.
There are also snow-ploughs to open the national highways of Veria – Seli and Naousa – Seli, as and the town parking spaces.

The National Ski Center of Seli has a fully equipped surgery and all the medical equipment. Especially during Weekends and feast days, there is an orthopedist and a nurse to provide first aids, as and an ambulance to transfer patients fast to the nearest hospital.
In the ski center you will find 5 Ski Schools, 6 ski renting equipment stores, 4 chalet-bars and 2 snowmobile rental stores.

There are two organized refuges that can host up to 200 persons. First is the Veria Skier-Climber Club refuge with 120 beds, and second the Thessaloniki E.O.S. refuge with 60 beds.
