Kasos is famous for the festivals organized in the island all summer around.
The biggest festival organized is that of “Pera Panagia” on August 15^th. Among the traditional sounds of lyra and lagouto, the steps of “sousta” and “zervos” dances, are offered traditional home made dishes to everyone.
Other festivals worth to be attended are those of Saint Marina on July 17^th and of Saint Spyridonas on December 12^th.
Festivals in Kasos have a vivid local colour, as in most of them relive old customs.
The municipality organizes every year a three day celebration for the anniversary of Kasos Holocaust (7^th of June 1824).
The last years it has become a habit a concert in the graphic port of Bouka by the famous tenor Marios Fragoulis, in August. The famous artist comes from Kasos and gives a concert every year in his birthplace.
