DESPOTIKO

Despotiko is a small, uninhabited today, island right across the region of Agios Georgios. There, in location Mandra are held extended excavations that have brought into light important findings that show the glorious history of the island. According to archaeologists, Despotiko should be proclaimed as archaeological park along with locations Livadi and Zoubaria, due to the archaeological findings.
Also in Tsimitiri, a small island between Antiparos and Despotiko, are visual the grounds of big ancient structures. Near the beach you can see graves of Hellenistic and Roman period.
West of Despotiko you will see the remains of a byzantine church that was structured from parts of ancient buildings.
