Kefalos
|
Kefalos village is in the southwest end of the island. It is 43km from the town. It is built in the spot where Astipalea, Kos’ ancient capital, was built in the 5th BC.
During the last years it has evolved to a tourist resort. Kefalos’ beach is considered one of the most cosmopolitan in the island. It has crystal clear waters and an endless beach.
While staying in Kefalos visit the monastery of Saint John and the remains of the paleochristianic church of Saint Stefanos.
