The village of Panagitsa is a picturesque cosy village situated between Edessa and the ski resort of Kaimaktsalan.
The village of Panagitsa promises visitors exciting experiences, as it offers them the chance to enjoy the breathtaking view of Lake Vegoritida and an orchard-clad plain.
Panagitsa has its own lovely lake! Though artificial, it is of unmatched beauty and ideal for strolls. On its shores, there are actually little stores selling excellent local products.
The village has many religious monuments, including the chapel of Elijah the Prophet on the top of a hill. The entire village impresses visitors with its local colour and hospitable atmosphere. Most ski-lovers choose to overnight at Panagitsa, as it is situated within spitting distance of the ski resort of Kaimaktsalan.
You can even find an airfield and a motocross course! So, either you are an extreme sports enthusiast or you just like…watching the efforts of those people, Panagitsa will fascinate you!
At its central square, there are hangouts for all tastes and hours of the day. Other sights include the cultural club, the church of the Virgin [Panaghia], after which the village was named, and many stores. Panagitsa is a place that will never bore you!
