Kokkinokastro is another beach of Alonissos that enchants with its natural beauties. It is located northeast of Patitiri, very close to the remains of a Neolithic settlement said to belong to the ancient town of Ikos.
The beautiful beach of Kokkinokastro is under an abrupt hill with red rocks and pines on the top. It is a landscape of unique beauty, worth to be seen.
Right across Kokkinokastro is the small island Kokkinonisi or Vrahos. It is of great historic interest as there were found tools from Neolithic age, considered the most ancient evidences of human existence in Aegean Sea.
