The old capital is 2km from the current one. The settlement is built amphitheatrically on a hill and has a panoramic view to Fri, Agia Marina and Panagia.
Near Poli settlement you will see the remains of the ancient acropolis’ walls. The archaeological excavations brought into light important findings as and carved graves of the 3rd and 4th BC.
Highly impressive is the church of Trinity. It has blue walls and an orange painted cupola.
It is worth visiting the village, walk in its narrow paths and get to know Kasos’ old capital.
