In the deserted village of Avlaki you will see the monastery of Agios Panteleimonas, while you can swim in the homonym beach with a beautiful shore, in the southest part of the island. Close to Nikia village is the most important and famous site in the world. The volcano. The spectacle is breathtaking. The biggest crater is of 260m diameter and 30m depth, while there are in total five craters creating the plateau of Lakkiou, created by the eruption of 1552.
