 Nikouria

The small uninhabited island of Nikouria is right across the cove of Aegiali. You can approach it by boats from the shore of Agios Pavlos (5km from the cove of Aegiali). It is of great historic interest, as from the archaeological findings it is proved that in Nikouria functioned the mint of the three ancient towns (Minoa, Aegiali, Arkesini). It has great beaches with virgin beauties and transparent blue waters. There are spots with pebbles and others with sand. The marine region of the island is considered one of the most important fish places in Amorgos.
