Scala Potamia or “ Chrysi Akti ” where we are located has a small Harbor. Here you find the apotheosis of beauty, with green stretching down to the blue, crystal clear waters and the endless sandy beach creating an oasis for the visitor, who will find whatever his/her heart desires. It is a lovely landscape, with a touch of the supernatural, particularly on moonlit nights, which are spectacular and can be seen from our Hotel. From here one can also climb to the Summit of the Mountain ( 1204 meter’s ), which has a spectacular view. The location of the Hotel is 1,5 Kilometer from the center of Scala Potamia 20 minutes walk from the beach, following a road from the hotel it is 800 meter’s. The Hotel is 20 minutes away from the capital city(Limenas) by car.In a tranquil position between Golden Beach and Scala Potamia, the Achillion makes an ideal base for a quiet holiday, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and sea.
An English speaking Greek South African Family runs the Hotel. Anytime during the morning come and relax around our pool, whilst listening to our wide selection of music suiting all ages and most of all enjoying what we have to offer at our pool bar like drinks, breakfast, lunch/dinner, little snacks anytime of the day. Special evenings are arranged from time to time, during your stay with us, so keep an eye out on our notice board, situated at reception.
Nearby there are also an abundance of restaurants to suite your taste, whilst not forgetting to visit our pool bar, which serves all sorts of things during the day, as mentioned earlier. So pop in and see what we have to offer each day, we guarantee you will be surprised and have various items, which do suite most tastes. The Hotel has a swimming pool, pool terrace with sun beds, reception, breakfast room and pool bar outside with a sitting area. Furthermore guests who have an Internet account may check their e-mail messages, from the Hotel at a small cost. The Achillion has piped music and telephones in all rooms and Satellite TV in the lounge. Fax service is available.
The Official Hotel rating is B-class. It has 32 Rooms of which, there are single, double and triple rooms. The Beach Area has water sport facilities and there are sun beds, parasols to rent.
Each room is equipped with a T.V., air-conditioning (hot or cold – depending on the time of year), fridge, which can be hired at a reasonable cost. visa/master credit .It is an ideal place for a peaceful and quiet holiday, accompanied with endless walks in a tranquil atmosphere.
As mentioned earlier here at the Achillion we have a variety of snacks, meals (lunch/dinner) served throughout the day, suiting all. For those waking up later and missing breakfast, not to worry come to our Pool Bar and enjoy our delicious, English Breakfast and many other specialities, prepared to suite all tastes at very competitive rates. Foreign Exchange and Safety Deposit Boxes are available for hire. Payment and deposits can be made by visa/master credit cards.
