Ôßôëïò: Beautiful location, unhelpful staff and dark rooms
The location can't be beat as it's right on the bustling harbor of Nafplio. The lobby is clean and beautiful, but unfortunately you don't notice it's beauty at first because you're too annoyed struggling to get through the front door with your luggage while the TWO front desk staffers watch you without offering any assistance. The rooms are decorated nicely but the TV's are old and only feature Greek channels (no satellite channels like some other hotels). The balcony views are amazing. However, the rooms are very dark due to the shutters on the outside of the windows (the windows are actually narrow french doors). The very low watt lighting in the room gives the room a very dark feeling unlike the brightness you see in the pix on the hotel's website. The bathrooms are nicely stocked with amenities and are very clean, but the lighting is very poor. If you like dark spaces, you'll love it.
