Altedo
About Altedo
Altedo is a small town located in the northern Italy, in the Emilia-Romagna region, near the city of Bologna. It is part of the municipality of Malalbergo and is known for its rural landscape, agricultural traditions, and quiet atmosphere. The area is flat and fertile, typical of the Po Valley, making it ideal for farming.
Altedo is especially famous for its production of green asparagus, often referred to as "Asparago Verde di Altedo," which has Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status. Every year, the town celebrates this local product with festivals and food events that attract visitors from the surrounding region.
Today, Altedo is a peaceful community that reflects traditional Italian countryside life. While it is small, it plays an important role in local agriculture and food culture, offering an authentic experience of rural Emilia-Romagna.
