Neochori
About Neochori
Neochori is a small village spread along the hillside above Lake Plastira. Many believe it offers the best view of the lake, which is also the reason why the area has developed into a popular tourist destination.
Neochori once served as the capital of the Agrafa region, as defined by the 1525 Treaty of Tamasi. It was also the seat of the Bishopric of Fanari and Neochori, which operated from the 14th century until the Greek War of Independence in 1821.
It is worth visiting the church of Agios Nikolaos, whose interior is decorated with frescoes dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
In Neochori, you will find hotels, guesthouses, rooms to let, and apartments that offer warm hospitality.
