Perama
About Perama
Perama is a coastal area on the eastern side of Corfu in the Ionian Islands, located just south of Corfu Town. It lies along the road toward Benitses and the southern part of the island, overlooking the Ionian Sea and the small islet of Pontikonisi.
Perama is best known for its iconic views of Pontikonisi (Mouse Island) and the Vlacherna Monastery, which are among the most photographed landmarks in Corfu. The area has a mix of residential zones, small hotels, and tourist facilities, while still maintaining a relatively calm atmosphere compared to the city center.
Today, Perama is a popular stop for sightseeing and photography, especially for visitors wanting to enjoy the famous coastal views and sunsets near Corfu Town. It also serves as a convenient base for exploring both the southern and central parts of the island.
