Ro Islet
About Ro Islet
Ro Islet is a tiny islet in the southeastern Aegean Sea, very close to Kastellorizo. It is known for its extreme isolation and untouched natural landscape, with no permanent population today.
Ro has historical significance for Greece, as it was the home of Despina Achladioti, known as the "Lady of Ro," who raised the Greek flag daily for decades. Today, only the small chapel of Saint George and minimal traces of human presence remain.
Overall, Ro Islet stands as a symbol of isolation, history, and national memory in one of the most remote parts of Greece.
