About Kasos
Kasos is a small and remote Greek island located in the southern Aegean Sea, at the southern edge of the Dodecanese group, near Karpathos and Crete. It is known for its strong maritime tradition and quiet, untouched character.
The island features a rugged, rocky landscape with small bays, traditional whitewashed houses, and a few scattered settlements. Its main villages include Fry (the port), Agia Marina, and Panagia, all reflecting a slow-paced and authentic island lifestyle.
Today, Kasos is a destination for very low-key tourism. It attracts visitors seeking isolation, traditional culture, fishing heritage, and a peaceful environment far from mass tourism and crowded destinations.
