About Arkasa
Arkasa is a traditional village on the southwestern side of Karpathos, built on a hill overlooking the Aegean Sea. It is known for its authentic character, peaceful atmosphere, and archaeological significance, as ruins of the ancient city of Arkesia are found in the area.
The village features narrow streets, traditional houses, and small squares, while its central location makes it a good base for exploring the surrounding region. Near Arkasa, some of the island's well-known beaches can also be found, such as Agia Paraskevi and Finiki.
Overall, Arkasa combines history, tradition, and natural beauty, making it a quiet and authentic destination for those wishing to experience the more genuine side of Karpathos.
