Arki
About Arki
Arki is a small and remote island in the Dodecanese group of the southeastern Aegean Sea, located near Lipsi and Patmos. It is one of the least developed inhabited islands in Greece, known for its extreme tranquility and isolation.
The island features a rugged, dry landscape with small hills, rocky coastline, and a few sheltered coves with clear blue waters. There is a very small settlement at the main harbor, where most of the limited local life and tourism services are concentrated. Arki has no major infrastructure and very few permanent residents.
Today, Arki is a destination for minimal and alternative tourism. It attracts visitors seeking complete peace, swimming in secluded bays, fishing, and a rare sense of remoteness in the Aegean, far from conventional tourist routes.
