About Sikinos
Sikinos is a small and quiet island located in the southern Cyclades in the Aegean Sea, between Ios and Folegandros. It is known for its extremely low population, peaceful atmosphere, and traditional Cycladic character.
The island features rocky landscapes, terraced hillsides, and small villages with whitewashed houses. The main settlements are Chora and Kastro, both reflecting traditional architecture and a slow-paced island lifestyle. Sikinos has limited tourism infrastructure, which has helped preserve its authenticity.
Today, Sikinos is a destination for very quiet and alternative tourism. It attracts visitors seeking isolation, hiking, simple living, and an untouched Cycladic environment far from mass tourism and crowded destinations.
