About Kimolos
Kimolos is a small Greek island located in the western Cyclades, very close to Milos in the Aegean Sea. It is known for its quiet atmosphere, traditional character, and unspoiled natural landscapes.
The island features white volcanic rock formations, small beaches, and a picturesque main village (Chora) with narrow alleys and Cycladic architecture. Kimolos also has historical elements such as medieval remains and traditional rural settlements that reflect its long island heritage.
Today, Kimolos is a destination for low-key and alternative tourism. It attracts visitors seeking tranquility, swimming in clear waters, hiking, and an authentic Cycladic experience away from mass tourism and large-scale development.
