About Livadia
Livadia is the capital of the Boeotia regional unit and one of the most important cities in Central Greece. Built at the foothills of Mount Helicon and crossed by the Erkina River, it combines natural beauty, historical heritage, and modern urban life.
The city has a rich history that spans from antiquity to modern times. One of its most notable landmarks is the medieval Castle of Livadia, while the area is also associated with the ancient Oracle of Trophonius, one of the most renowned oracles of ancient Greece.
Today, Livadia serves as the administrative, commercial, and cultural center of Boeotia. The Krya Springs, with their flowing waters, plane trees, and traditional establishments, offer a unique recreational destination that attracts both residents and visitors throughout the year.
