Skaramagas is an industrial coastal area located in the western part of the Athens metropolitan region, along the Saronic Gulf. It lies near the port of Piraeus and the city of Elefsina, within a zone that is heavily influenced by maritime and industrial activity.

The area is best known for the Skaramangas Shipyards, one of the largest shipbuilding and repair facilities in Greece. This has defined much of the local economy and landscape, alongside other industrial installations and port-related infrastructure.

Today, Skaramangas is primarily an industrial and logistics hub rather than a residential or tourist destination. It plays an important role in Greece's maritime industry, ship maintenance, and naval services, contributing significantly to the economic activity of the wider Attica region.
