About Schinias
Schinias is a coastal area located in the northeastern part of the Attica region, near Marathon and along the South Euboean Gulf. It is best known for its long sandy beach and the surrounding natural environment.
The area is home to the Schinias National Park, a protected wetland and pine forest ecosystem of high environmental importance. It hosts rich biodiversity, including bird species and coastal habitats, and is also known for its Olympic rowing and canoeing center, built for the 2004 Athens Olympics.
