I’ve had plenty of time to ponder this review and to be honest it this is only my opinion and I seriously hope this others prove me wrong. We had spent the whole day out and thought we would grab a quick meal to take back to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and lovely to talk to (which makes the review harder the write). The maid disappointment was the gyros we had ordered, I chose the pork and she choose the chicken. Now maybe I had high expectations as the gyros thought out the resort area was great. After the first mouth full my partner said the chicken was a bit rubbery and not the same as previous gyros we had and my pork although tased fine didn’t seem right. We opened the pitta up to discover as opposed to gyros we had eaten the whole week in other places they had appeared to have grilled a chicken breast and pork chop and sliced it up into strips.
We had a really disappointing experience here. We had just got off our coach after a long day exploring the island’s hotspots. It’s was about 2230hrs and we hadn’t eaten so we thought we would get a gyros wrap (something quick and easy). We picked this place as it was opposite where we were staying. We were welcomed in and we asked if they do take away. They said they did. We ordered 1x chicken gyros wrap and 1x pork gyros wrap which we didn’t have to wait long for. We got back to our hotel and both had a bite each and threw it in the bin. The meat tasted off and was so chewy, nothing like the gyros meat we had eaten all week.
Offer it’s pretty huge, staff is really nice, Gyros was great (pretty big compared to others), but prices are really - for classic cooked potato (2 pieces of middle sized) was 7.5€ + topping 2.5€. Still, restaurant it’s pretty famous, if you don’t mind money it’s worth to go, otherwise you can find something cheaper very close
If you are in Perissa area GO HERE!! Incredible service and food!! Best service we’ve had our entire trip. Gyros are at least 1.5 the size of the gyros you get from a take away place. We ordered the lamb gyro, spicy cheese salad, pita, mythos(500ml), carafe of white wine(.5 liters). €32.80 We left full with the intention of trying a gyro elsewhere. Extremely satisfied with everything! FREE WiFi
The Grandma has a Traditional Greek menu and One of the best and tastiest gyros in Perissa, a really big size comes in Arabic thin pita bread or thicker Greek pita nearly the size of a large pizza. We did not eat there but looked at the menu at Dorian Bar and ordered it to come to our table while we had a drink there. It came after a few minutes one lamb and one veg and it was so good and hot and fresh to eat with another pint. The place is located on the main street not far from the beach if take one of the narrow roads between the beach and the main street.
