The Archaeological and Folkloric Museum of Symi is located in location Lieni in Ano Symi. It is roofed under a reconstructed baronial building. Collections include remarkable exhibits from the Hellenistic and Roman time, byzantine pieces of work and folkloric material.
The entrance leads to a yard with pebbles, exhibiting ancient sculptures and vessels from different periods of time.
The museum has five rooms with findings of various historic ages.
The Naval Museum is located in Gialos. It is worth visiting and know Symi’s naval history. You will see miniatures of ships, wooden sailing ships, instruments and tools of naval art, diving suits, components of traditional sponge diving, etc.
