In the northwest part of the island, 18km from Chora is the cove of Atsitsa. Characteristics are the many small coves it has, where you can enjoy your swim. The region is full of pine trees that reach up to the shore and create idyllic landscapes.
On the way from Chora to Atsitsa, 12km from the town you will see the two beautiful beaches of Agios Petros and Theotokos. In order to reach them you have to pass through a dirty road, but the picture will make up for it. The extended beach of Agios Petros attracts thousands of bathers. It has thin sand and a green landscape around it. The small and relatively isolated cove of Theotokos attracts the lovers of exploration.
As you leave Atsitsa and pass through a 6km dirt road you will reach the dreamy cove of Agios Fokas. It is a beach of unique beauty that every visitor should see. The dense vegetation and pine trees reach up to the sea. This is a swim that will be unforgettable!
