Lefkimmi is the lady of south. The biggest town and capital of the south complex of Corfu, is 42km from the city. It is a beautiful and graphic town built in a fertile valley with vineyards, olive trees and garden products, while a small river separates her into two. There, fishboats anchor.

Alikes of Lefkimmi are famous and have a leading role in the preservation of fauna and flora of Corfu. The lake of Korission is one of the most important hydrolands in the island. Lefkimmi is ideal for religious tourism. Historic monasteries and byzantine churches are a pole of attraction for thousands of pilgrims. It is worth visiting the monastery of “The Lord of Angels” built in 1698 by Kapodistria’s sons as a fulfillment of an owe to Panagia. In the hill of Arkoudila you will see the monastery of Panagia Eleousa (Beata Vergine Eleousa)built by Venetians. This monastery is of great historic interest as during World War Two there was situated the emplacement of Greeks. In the church of Saint Arsenios are saved in a silver shrine the remains of the homonym saint.
