The Istron Bay is a family-run hotel that is run by people who really love what they are doing.

The family members who work in the hotel likewise regard their long-serving employees as members of the family as well. This means that everybody works with the same feeling of giving hospitality and taking responsibility.

The Istron Bay Hotel has a very personal atmosphere, so that its guests feel right at home and are glad to come back again and again. Our guests are made welcome with a presentation of fruit and wine in their rooms and are personally invited to a cocktail party by the hotel management.

We are especially proud of our many repeat guests who constantly come back to us because they have the feeling that they are coming home.

Cretan customs and traditions are an integral part of the life of the hotel and promote a gentle exchange of cultures. Our guests have the option to get to know the lively and friendly lifestyle of the Greeks and the warm and open hospitality of the Cretans.

The shining white of the buildings blends superbly with the tropical green of the garden, with the lilac and red of the bougainvillea and the hibiscus and the sparkling blue-green of the Mirabello Bay.

Istron Bay is located on the north-eastern coast of Crete, 13 km from the idyllic harbour town of Agios Nikolaos, 800 m from the village of Istro, 70 km by road from Heraklion airport, 22 km from Ierapetra, the southernmost town in Europe, and 60 km from Sitia at the eastern end of Crete, all of which are readily accessible by car and bus. (There is a bus stop within easy walking distance of the hotel).
