The New Acropolis Museum, the best venture for the return of the Parthenon marbles

The Minister of Civilization Mr. Michalis Liapis had an early meeting on Friday (5th of October) with the President of the Universal Association Mr. David Hill for the Reunion of the Parthenon Sculptures. In this meeting they discussed all the details for the return of the marbles.
After this meeting the Minister said: “The meeting with Mr. Hill was really interesting and beneficial. I would like to thank him in public for his effort, in order to return the Parthenon marbles in their home country. The restoration of the Sculptures is a debt of honour for us. I would like to add that with the transfer of the sculptures at the New Museum, a new more optimistic perspective is being created”.
Mr. David Hill said about the new Acropolis Museum: “I think that that the New Acropolis Museum is one of the most important new constructions in the world. It is a major acquisition for Greece and the best venture for the return of the Parthenon marbles. We are all impressed by the New Museum. We are also impressed by the statements of the Minister who talked about the necessity of returning the Marbles in Greece and exhibiting them at the New Museum”.
