The new seaplane airport opened in Lavrio

The new seaplane airport opened a few days ago in Lavrio. The seaplanes from Lavrio to Paros, Santorini, Mykonos, Kalymnos and Kos are aiming in connecting the epirotic and insular Greece.
With these new itineraries, the Ministry of Commercial Shipping aims in using modern technology in order to connect the islands with the big cities.
The shortest itinerary is that of Paros (35 minutes), while the longest is to Kos (85 minutes).
These amphibian aircrafts have only 19 seats and apart from pontoons, they also have wheels to land in airports.
The administrative company Air Sea Lines / Pegasus Aviation is now chartering buses from Filellinon Str. to Lavrio. The ticket is 5€ and the route lasts two hours.
The flights from Corfu to Paxos, Ithaca, Lefkada, Patra and the airport of Kefalonia are starting at the end of May.
