New aerial connection of Athens - Philadelphia

The US Airways company released its new daily flight timetable from Athens to Philadelphia. This new route connects the “El. Venizelos” International Airport of Athens with another transatlantic destination, Phinadelphia, the 4th biggest city of U.S.A.
According to the standing program, which will last from May 26th to October 6th 2007, the 759 flight of US Airways will be leaving from the International Airport of Athens to Philadelphia, with a Boeing 767 aircraft (with a capacity of 179 passengers). The flight will be leaving Athens at 11: 20 a. m. and will be arriving at Philadelphia at 3:35 p. m., while the 758 flight from Philadelphia will be leaving at 16:00 p.m. and will be landing in Athens at 08:00 a.m.
According to Mr. Doug Parker, President and General Manager of the company, it is the second time this year, that US Airways releases new expansions in its transatlantic flights starting from Philadelphia. This way Philadelphia becomes an international gate for people travelling for business or for pleasure.
Mr. John Paraschis, General Manager of Athens International Airport said: “With great pleasure we welcome US Airways and its direct flight route from Athens to Philadelphia. This new transatlantic route is a strategic connection for our International Airport. We wish US Airways the best and we promise full support at this new field”.
